In aviation, there can be no more important factor than the safety of our clients, pilots and aircraft. Westair employs strict procedures and practices to ensure that our safety is of the highest possible standard.
Our aircraft receive frequent routine checks and inspections as well as immediate attention to any issues that may arise during their day-to-day operation.
The team of skilled and professional pilots receives rigorous ongoing training in both normal and emergency procedures as well as additional training in a variety of related areas. Regular checks both in the air and on the simulator, as well as frequent theory-based education sessions ensure that each pilot maintains a very high level of knowledge, skill and currency.
While our aircraft and pilots are both held up to rigorous scrutiny, we also encourage a ´Just Culture´ to ensure that all hazards and occurrences are reported. This allows us to proactively identify and remove or minimize any potential issues.
Westair also recognizes that safety is dependent on the knowledge and attitude of all staff. To that end, ground staff are educated and trained to appreciate and recognize their role in ensuring the safety of our clients.
Our Safety Department works tirelessly to improve our systems and standards, ensuring that we meet and, where possible, surpass any regulatory and industry requirements.
Westair also maintains a strict zero tolerance Drug and Alcohol Policy.
